37th Nordic Congress in Medical Biochemistry
June 9 – 12 2020 in Trondheim
Congress cancellation (update 7th May 2020) Due to the Covid-19 virus pandemic, the Nordic Congress of Medical Biochemistry 2020 is cancelled. The safety of the participants, speakers and sponsors is our highest priority. The pandemic and official restrictions have effectively forced us to cancel the congress in June 2020. We regret any inconvenience the cancellation may cause. Registrants who have not already received a refund of registration fees may contact the congress organizer at NFKK2020@atlanticmice.no We believe that the 37th Nordic Congress in Medical Biochemistry would have been a great event. Many prominent speakers were willing to contribute to the scientific sessions and 90 submitted abstracts were accepted for poster presentation. The diagnostic industry and sponsors has been very supportive and wanted to contribute to a successful conference and exhibition. The next congress will be the Nordic Congress in Clinical Chemistry in Iceland in 2022. We hope to see many of you there. Congress cancellation Due to the Covid-19 virus pandemic, the Nordic Congress of Medical Biochemistry 2020 is cancelled. We believe that the 37th Nordic Congress in Medical Biochemistry would have been a great event. Many prominent speakers were willing to contribute to the scientific sessions and 90 submitted abstracts were accepted for poster presentation. The diagnostic industry and sponsors has been very supportive and wanted to contribute to a successful conference and exhibition. We are currently considering the possibility to have a virtual conference. We also consider to have a physical conference in the spring of 2021, but the pandemic situation makes it difficult to plan for a physical conference at this time. Whatever happens, we hope to see many of you at the Nordic Congress in Clinical Chemistry in Iceland in 2022. Kind regards |

There are currently no plans to cancel the congress, but we monitor the situation closely and will follow the instructions given by the health authorities. |

The motto of the congress is "Bridging science and clinical care". This reflects the ambition to focus on scientific achievements and innovations in laboratory medicine with an impact on patient care. In addition, it is inspired by all the bridges crossing the river that runs through the city, the most famous one, the "Old Town Bridge" with the "Portal of Happiness" serving as model for the congress logo. We hope you will come to Trondheim - to become both happy and inspired.
The scientific program contains topics relevant for laboratory professionals, medical researchers and health care personnel with an interest in laboratory medicine. Many prominent speakers will contribute with lectures on state of the art in a number of exiting scientific areas. We hope that colleagues from various professions will find the program interesting. The scientific program has been approved to count for 26 hours in the Norwegian Specialist certification for Biomedical Laboratory Scientist. We will also apply for EACCME-accreditation of the scientific programme.
The Diagnostic Industry are presenting their newest diagnostic products in an exhibition localised straight outside the conference halls.
We also hope that many of you will contribute with interesting abstracts and invite you to submit your work. You might be given the opportunity to give an oral presentation of your poster.
The congress venue is Clarion Hotel® Trondheim.
We are confident that the 37th Nordic Congress in Medical Biochemistry will be a congress with high scientific standards and an important meeting point for professionals in laboratory medicine. We hope you will come and enjoy good company, culture and the charming atmosphere of Trondheim.
