Abstract and posters

Congress delegates are cordially invited to submit abstracts of their scientific work for presentation as a poster communication at the XXXVII Nordic Congress in Medical Biochemistry, June 9-12, 2020, Trondheim, Norway. Abstracts are welcome in all fields of clinical chemistry, analytical haematology, clinical molecular biology and laboratory medicine.

To submit an abstract use the Presentation Portal below, and follow the instructions given therein. Abstracts submitted in any other way will be rejected.
Submitting authors are requested to create an account to submit an abstract for review.

New Deadline for submission: February 29, 2020, 23:59 GMT

The Scientific Committee will review all received abstracts. Receipt of the abstract will be acknowledged by e-mail. Authors will be notified of acceptance or rejection of the abstract before March 15, 2020.

The presenting author is required to register as a congress delegate before the early bird deadline April 27, 2020. You may be the presenting author on one poster only, but you can be co-author on several abstracts.

A jury will review each abstract, and abstracts assessed to be of particular scientific interest will be given the opportunity of an oral presentation in one of the parallel Poster Sessions. The Scientific Committee will notify the presenting author in advance, and not later than May 1.

Terms and Conditions

Submission of an abstract to the NFKK 2020 constitutes the authors’ transfer of all Copyrights to NFKK 2020, for publishing the abstract in any printed or electronic form, including but not limited to, the congress website, and the abstract booklet. The abstract may also be included in a special online issue of Scandinavian Journal of Clinical and Laboratory Investigations (SJCLI).
 
Authors are allowed to use their own material for educational purposes, as well as posting to the author’s website.  Later inclusion of the results in journal publications is generally accepted, but some top ranked journals may have different policies.

Upon submission, the submitting author verify that all co-authors have approved of the content of the abstract. The submitting author will serve as corresponding author, and is responsible for informing the co-authors about the status of the abstract.

Abstract instructions
The text should be clear, concise, and written in proper English. The content cannot have previously been published in any peer reviewed academic journals.

Organise your Abstract in the following sections: BACKGROUND AND AIMS, METHODS, RESULTS, and CONCLUSIONS. Use CAPITAL LETTERS for the section headings. Significant technical information must not be withheld, and actual results must be presented. Statements such as “results will be discussed” are not acceptable.
The Abstract text body (limited to 300 words, excluding title, author names and affiliation) should be prepared off-line in advance, and copied into the Presentation Portal, at the appropriate step. Images, tables, diagrams or graphs are not allowed. Abstract title (maximum 25 words), author names, and author affiliations must be entered when required by the Presentation Portal. 

Preparation of Posters

Poster presenters should take note of the following guidelines:
•    The size of the poster wall is 99 cm x 138 cm (WxH) 
•    Recommended poster size is 84 cm x 119 cm (A0), portrait orientation.
•    Keep text to a minimum
•    For optimal viewing use font size 32 pt or larger
•    Use images, graphs and tables ad lib
•    Ensure contents have a logical flow
•    Make it colourful 

The posters will not be made available in electronic form. 
The congress organisers will provide pins for mounting the posters to the poster wall.
