Dear Colleagues!

The Forsa Conference 2023 will be held in Bodø, Norway 14 – 16th of June 2023 and the theme is:

“Social Work in Changing Times- Challenges and new Opportunities”

It is possible to submit an abstract for;

·         Presentation of 15 minutes and 5 minutes discussion.

·         Symposium up to 90 minutes

·         Posters

Deadline is February 01st 2023.

We hope that your participation in selecting the workshops and presentations will ensure we have a quality programme. We are looking forward to meeting you in Norway in June 2023.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Authors are invited to submit abstracts to the conference. Abstracts should be submitted through the abstract submission form. All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by referees.

Submission guidelines
Abstracts must be written in English.

Title (max. 25 words)

The abstract title should be in initial capital case and then lower case, not all capitals.

Author(s)
Authors’ names should be supplied as asked for in the abstract registration form.

Affiliation
All affiliations should contain institution, city and country.

Abstract text
Sub-headings e.g. Background, Methods, Finding and Conclusion is to be included.

Abstract text should not exceed 250 words.

Table and figures in abstract are not allowed. 

The only presentation available is oral.

Keywords if applicable (3-5).

MORE ON SYMPOSIUM

The symposium presentation is a self-organised seminar of three to four papers on a common topic which are presented within the same session and are in line with the conference's main theme, as well as one or more of the sub-themes. The symposium session lasts 90 minutes.

When applying for a symposium, one person is responsible for submitting the following: 

  • a general abstract (maximum 250 words) that describes the theme of the symposium and which argues for the importance of it within the framework of the conference; 
  • an abstract (maximum 250 words) for each of the papers included in the proposed symposium. 

You will also have to indicate which person will be the symposium convener. We will only communicate with this person. 

Preference will be given to symposia that demonstrate cohesiveness across presentations and to presentations strongly linked to the central theme/sub-themes of the conference. Symposia will be accepted or rejected as a whole, not in parts.

POSTER PRESENTATION 

The poster presentation may be created by an individual or by a group and is to be displayed on a portable wall. At times, the author(s) of the poster will accompany it, to answer questions that people have. To apply for a poster presentation, the author(s) must submit an abstract of a maximum of 500 words.

The poster size should be A0, horisontal or vertical.
